March 17, 2008 - Silas Shay's Pension Records

My credit card was charged today so the file must be ready for shipping. Will keep you posted!
Also, on a sad note. I was advised this morning that my cousin Kitty passed away early this morning. If might have met her at the reunion - but she is the one that the movie "Conviction of Kitty Dodds" was based on her life story.

*********************************************

I'm sorry to hear about your cousin Kitty. I remember meeting her last summer and I remember seeing the movie many years back.

I am being told that my request for William Heath's service records are still servicing. I put in the request 3/2/09 and haven't been charged yet. Below is the tracking number.
F41-44596984E

I am hoping it will ship soon. I am interested to see what Silas Shay's records have to say.

**********************************************

I looked at my bank statement and last year when I ordered James Shay - when the charge hit my acct - I had the file in a day or two. My account still says it is servicing but I assuming that the "record keeping" runs a little later than the actual shipment. I am hoping it is. I also received some information from the Swimilar descendants. This would be Ira's g grandmother - Sarah Swimilar. The individual has traced it back to Hessian soldiers coming to fight for the British -- 2 stayed in American ... and thus the saga for the Swimilar (Swimelar, Swimley ... ) descendants. So that was kind of exciting as well.

***********************************************

Both our requests are awaiting shipment. We should have them within a day or two.

***********************************************

Thats great...we should have good reading material...i'll scan and copy William Heath's for you. Do you prefer email copy of mailed copy.

**********************************************
A scan/email version works for me but if it is easier for you to copy that is okay too.

**********************************************
I'll do the same for the Silas's folder - what would you prefer?
