It has been so long I'm not sure if you found this census record or not.
We know that 1830 Census for McCracken KY showed Frederick and Elizabeth and 1850 Census showed Margaret 5, Delphia 8 and Wm 18 along with Allen children: Wm 10, John 5, Matilda 4 and Martha 2, James Smith 13, ...
I came across a Census for 1860 for Tharps Ballard KY for:
Elizabeth Maybery 60
Delphia Maybery 18
John R. Allen 15
Malinda Allen 14
Martha A Allen 12
John T Allen 24
living next door: William Mayberry 29, Sarah 25, Nancy 6, Martha 4, Delphia 1
We know in 1860 - James and Margaret were in Moreland MO
I just checked and I did have a copy of this census, ugh...maybe we should try to trace out these Allens??
