I stopped into the Potter County Historical Society to do some research on my great-grandmother Emaline Amidon's family. I did do a little Heath research and I scanned a copy of a brief biographical sketch on William Heath that you might find interesting.
Also I tried to research Jane Shay Heath's death. There was no death on record and it was never recorded in 1898. Katherine Ardley Heath's death isn't recorded either in 1905.
I did find something interesting though. William & Jane had 5 children.

2. William 1888
3. James 1891
4. Katharine 1893
5. Unnames son 1895 - died 3 hours after birth - never given a name - buried in Fox Hill Cemetery. small tomb "unmarked"
I am not sure if you had ever heard anything about a baby bou dying shortly after birth in 1895. My uncle Justin and mother had never heard of that before.
